Stanthorpe Retreat in May has had a couple of cancellations, so if you were wanting to go & had missed out, now is your chance - contact Jan to secure your spot.

Another great retreat weekend at Grandvale has just been, great work was acheived by those that attended, the weather was great, the ladies were able to indulge in more pampering & the food was also greatly appreciated - a completely different menu to the first.

The next retreat is full, but there are still a couple of spots in August, so if you would like to come, contact Jan.

OXLEY

**There are four groups at the Oxley Guide hut in Ellen Street now, and these are all going well. The evening classes are full, however the Thurs group has room for a couple more.**

- 2nd Wed each month - 9am - 3pm and

- 6pm - 10pm

- 4th Wed each month - 6pm - 10pm and

- 4th Thurs each month - 9am - 3pm

Skillbuilder Days

AIRCONDITIONED CLASSROOM

The air conditioned classroom has been fabulous and a real treat to work in. The large cutting table up the centre gives everyone ample room to work at a comfortable height.

** A second evening class is now happening at Grandvale starting in Feb08 and it is on the 3rd Tues evening each month.

On these days each person (limit of 10) works on projects and classes of their own choice, the students work at their own pace, developing skills in any number of areas under Jan's guidance. This program allows people to take classes on any subject from Jan's range without having to have others working on the same project. Jan assists with planning new projects and assisting with completing others that students need help with. Current classes at Hattonvale (2 day 2 night), Ipswich (2 day) & now Oxley (2 day & 2 night)

Groups

Courthouse Quilters.

A group that meet for classes with Jan once a month (1st Wed), in relaxed style. The group began in the lovely old Courthouse building in Ipswich, then moved to the North Ipswich Guide hut, as parking was easier.

The original name has been kept.

We are delighted that the quilt the Courthouse group made and presented to Ipswich council for the centenary is now on permanent display in the history section (top floor) of Ipswich Library - take a visit to see the detail.

Cottage Groups

These are groups that meet to stitch and chat, to share and learn, some are connected to the state group of Queensland Quilters (www.qldquilters.com) others are just groups of friends. Many hold class days with Jan, some in private homes, others in halls etc.
