Patterns
(last updated Augustl
2010)
Jan has started to put class material
into patterns –
as new ones are
developed they will be added to the range.
Playtime
Cards: This pattern has two sizes in the quilt,
a large cot & single bed quilt. The piecing is suited
to all skill levels. This creates a vibrant fun quilt when
using bright fabrics, or change the mood with a softer selection..
A great way to use up some of your smaller scraps.
This booklet contains six different quilt patterns and has been produced in spiral booklet form, giving more than one size for four of the patterns.
The quilts are all simple construction quilts that make great gifts, or simply allow you to feature wonderful fabrics without a lot of intricate work.
What
a Beauty. This pattern
has been produced in spiral booklet form where each curved
block design can be seen in colour (not same as in the quilt)
with easy steps how to create the design using the template
that accompanies the pattern. The layout of the quilt is based
on creating large squares with one or several of the curves
blocks. For quilts to be more individual Jan has explained
how to create these larger blocks without specific measurements.
Jan's feature fabric was a tea towel received from her penpal
in UK.
The template allows for many possibilities for other designs in the future.
Some
of the earlier patterns (##) have only a few available.
Other patterns are:
## Double Image 1 } These are the same style of work but
one is in
##

before you applique techniques.

fabrics - looks great in Japanese or bold prints as main
fabric.

and a common background - has many possibilities
if using fewer fabrics - several sizes included.
Celestial Hearts: This is a quilt designed around 5" charm sqaures and
the scrap box. Several sizes included.
Double the Fun: This is a two sided table runner using the reversable
roman stripe design in two colours each side to create
